Blackberry 9720 insert sim problem may occur due to bad sim or sim jacket and Sim controller IC. To solve this issue first confirm sim then check sim jacket pins, if all ok then check sim controller ic on mobile motherboard. If ic broken then change ic first then check points on motherboard with multimeter. Apply jumper on any missing point with jumper wire as shown in diagram below.
